Special light and sound equipment

The vehicle is equipped with flashing beacons of blue color and sound signal siren in order to simplify road way in case of emergency at traffic, as well as with light reflecting stripes of red color with inscriptions «Швидка медична допомога» and “AMBULANCE” at the front part of the vehicle. Installation of searchlight for vehicles type B and C is possible.

The vehicle is equipped with antifog front yellow or white lights and red rear lights which have to guarantee enhanced vision of the vehicle at difficult weather conditions.

Rear antifog lights are included in the set of rear lights of the basic vehicle. Switching on the antifog lights is carried out from the control panel if the side lights are switched on.

Lamps that installed outside above the doors of the medical compartment for illumination of adjacent territory ensure the illumination of 30 lm within 2 meters.

Equipment of driver’s compartment

Ergonomics of the driver’s compartment designed by the manufacturer of the basic vehicle is not violated. It has the following additional equipment:

  • radio station;
  • remote control of special light and sound equipment
  • searchlight or portable battery lamp
  • loudspeaker (available only in B and C types vehicles)
  • powder fire extinguisher


Furniture of medical compartment of the Ambulance vehicle.

Solid partition wall is equipped with sliding window or doors (for Type C) that ensures direct visual contact with the driver. Window has curtains not to disturb the driver with light from medical compartment. There are easy to clean comfortable lockers behind the driver’s back in the partition wall. Lockers have special attachment system which prevents their slipping out from the lockers while the vehicle is moving.  Top layer of the lockers is coated with chlorvinyl. Basin for hands washing and place for stretchers are also installed there.

Left panel with 7 mm thickness of the medical compartment of the ambulance vehicle is made of fiberglass by means of special mould. There are places for oxygen tubes in the panel near rear doors. Further behind the niche for oxygen tubes there is place for folding stretchers. This locker has the compartment for portable aspiration device, portable lung ventilation device and defibrillator. The last compartment in the left panel is foreseen for plastic shelves. Fiberglass coating is tested and produced according to standard EN 1789.

Right panel of the medical compartment is designed the same as the left one, its thickness 7 mm also. At the head of stretchers there is folding seat for doctor. There is also a place for medical bags in the right panel of the medical compartment. Fiberglass coating is tested and produced according to standard EN 1789.

Ceiling panel of the ambulance vehicle

The panel is made of fiberglass. The panel itself is solid, made by means of special mould, thickness is 7 mm. Ceiling of the vehicle is equipped with pulldown serum holders, illumination system elements, ventilation and heating channels as well as handrails. There is also the hatch in the ceiling which ensures natural light and ventilation. In case of emergency the hatch is emergency exit.

Covering of the floor ensures non-slippage of the legs even when it is wet. Before the floor is installed its hydro isolation is undergone. Plywood 12 mm thickness is used for this, then fiberglass covering 7 mm thickness goes. All joints between left and right panels are made waterproof. Fiberglass coating is tested and produced according to standard EN 1789.

Oxygen equipment

Oxygen pressure regulator

Two groups of oxygen pressure reductors are made in way so one of them shall be installed on the main oxygen tube, and other on reserve oxygen tube. In this group of oxygen pressure reductors there are two manometers. One of the manometers indicates high pressure (pressure on inlet), manometer has the scale till 315 Bar (31,500 kPa) with intervals of 16 Bar. The other manometer (low pressure) shows pressure of the oxygen which goes to the system. Indications of the manometers can be easily comprehended even by auxiliary personnel depending upon the type of the medical squad. Oxygen pressure given to the system descends to 5 Bar (500 kPa) mark. This reductors group has the filter at inlet to the system and protection valve at the lower part of oxygen pressure reductors group.

Working method

Compressed gas coming from the tube enters the reductor where the calibrating device is installed and connected to the protection valve which controls outlet of gas under pressure according to the calibration. There is flow-meter in outlet of the system.


Oxygen outlet sockets

At the outlets of oxygen system ways there are filters made of porous material which has small particles of bronze which adhered under heated pressure.  Each filter has non-return valve. Sockets are in anti-shock plastic boxes with metal support plates. Sockets system is assembled on a special rail. Its position can be adjusted accordingly. In order to prevent problems arising by using it with other gas sockets, socket-plug connection grasp design is in type of 3 standard spikes. For connection to the socket, it is required to align and put the spikes of the plug into socket slots and turn clockwise by pressing. In order to plug out, it will be enough to pull by turning counter-clockwise. Copper T-fittings connected to two oxygen sockets are also connected to each other by a copper pipe and thus they become a binary group. There is a nipple on each outer tip of this connection for attaching anti-static hoses. So, it is provided both sockets to be fed from both tubes.
